The CREATE for STEM Institute will hold an all-MSU mini-conference on May 8th and 9th. The theme of the conference, Creating the Future of STEM Education, will allow faculty, postdocs and graduate students opportunities to share and discuss their work to promote the teaching and learning of mathematics and science K through 16 through research. Our hope is that this conference will allow us to build stronger collaborations at MSU.

The conference will start on the evening of Tuesday, May 8th, with a reception, opening remarks by Deans Kirkpatrick and Heller, panel discussion and dinner at the Spartan Club on the upper level of the MSU Stadium.  The entrance is on the west side of the building; the elevator will take you directly up to the meeting area. 

On Wednesday, May 9th, we will meet in Rooms ABCD of the MSU Breslin Center; the day will begin with a breakfast to allow individuals opportunities to begin discussion on how they might collaborate. Breakfast will be followed by concurrent sessions. There will be a total of three poster sessions in the reception area of the Center.   Lunch will be served with some remarks from colleagues from MSU. We will close with a general discussion in which various individuals will share their impressions of the work and possibilities at Michigan State University.

Each concurrent session will last one and half hours with posters and discussions. These sessions are intended to inform others at MSU of our work and build collaborations.
