Emily Scott will be presenting some initial ideas for categorizing the ways undergraduate students construct explanations about interdisciplinary scientific phenomena (e.g., What happens when an egg boils?). For some background on different ways students view scientific phenomena, we'll read and discuss Hesse and Anderson (1992).
