Sebastian Opitz currently works at CREATE for STEM as a visiting scholar. He supports two projects: "Supporting Secondary Students in Building External Models" and "Investigating How Students Build an Integrated Understanding of Energy Over Time."
Sebastian studied English and Biology. As part of his Ph.D. program in science education, he has worked at the Leibniz Institute for Science and Mathematics Education at Kiel University (IPN, Germany). Sebastian's main research interest lies in the development of students' understanding of energy as a central, cross-disciplinary concept of science.
