Message from MI-AMTE Secretary

Dear Colleague,

I am sending you this email to introduce myself as secretary of the Michigan affiliate of the Association of Mathematics Teacher Educators. My name is Maggie Rathouz (Associate Professor at UM-Dearborn) and I know many of you throughout the state and hope to meet more of you at the annual Mi-AMTE/Conversations among Colleagues Meeting at Michigan State University on March 18, 2017. (See attached flier).

I am also reminding you to renew your membership with Mi-AMTE (if you are already a member) or inviting you to join Mi-AMTE (if you are not a member). Please forward this email to colleagues who also may be interested in supporting the work of mathematics teacher educators in our state.

Here are your options for joining or renewing:

1. Register for Conversations Among Colleagues Conference ($40 for non-student) and add your discounted Mi-AMTE dues ($15 for non-student) at this website (thanks if you have already done this!):

2. Fill out the attached membership application form and send it in the mail with a check for your dues. In the near future, we hope to have a PayPal or other online payment option, but we are moving slowly so we aren't there yet

The MiAMTE board is attempting to synchronize all membership dues to the annual March meeting. If you joined in Fall of 2016, your membership is current through March of 2018 (there are only 2 members in that category). All other members should pay their annual dues by March 18, 2017 and then you will be current through March of 2018. Email me if you have any membership questions.

Thank you,

Maggie Rathouz
