Upcoming Funding Opportunities for Undergraduate STEM Education

The National Science Foundation (NSF) announced deadlines for submission of proposals for two funding opportunties for undergraduate STEM education.

 

NSF Scholarships in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics Program  (S-STEM) addresses the need for a high quality STEM workforce in areas of national priorities. The program seeks to increase the success of low-income academically talented students with demonstrated financial need who are pursuing associate, baccalaureate, or graduate degrees in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). http://www.nsf.gov/funding/pgm_summ.jsp?pims_id=5257

Improving Undergraduate STEM Education: Education and Human Resources  (IUSE: EHR)  invites proposals that address immediate challenges and opportunities that are facing undergraduate STEM education, as well as those that anticipate new structures (e.g. organizational changes, new methods for certification or credentialing, course re-conception, cyberlearning, etc.) and new functions of the undergraduate learning and teaching enterprise.
