Keith Promislow, Gradient Flows—Life Runs Down Hill

Friday, October 24, 2014 - 4:10pm to 5:00pm

A108 Wells Hall, Michigan State University

If you’ve ever wondered why, at times, life seems to be going down hill, you may find answers at Top-SUM's kick-off Fall Semester 2014 lecture!

We will have informal conversation (with our speaker) and refreshments a half hour before the talk in A108 WH. It would help us to order the right amount of food if you could let us know whether you think you will attend ( You are welcome to come (and bring others!), whether or not you sign up.

This presentation is part of a new series offered by the Mathematics Department. Top-SUM explores exciting developments and ideas in current mathematical research, in a way that is accessible to undergraduates. These lectures are also an opportunity for undergraduate students to meet and chat with some of our best researchers and instructors in the Mathematics Department.
