Health in our Hands Expands

Congratulations to Renee Bayer, principal investigator on the new five-year $1.2 million grant from the National Institute of Health Science Education Partnership Award (HIH-SEPA)! Thanks to this generous grant, we will be able to continue our ongoing efforts to develop, test, and implement learning materials, blending classroom instruction and community-based learning.

Health in our Hands focuses on the questions 'what controls our health', and shows students how to find the answers through project-based, interactive, hands-on learning, which includes doing investigations and sharing results. Looking forward to more work in the Flint/Genesee area in Michigan - and beyond!
