Consider Presenting in the 2018 Student Success Launch!


Student Success Opperations is currently seeking participation in the 2018 Student Success Launch, September 17th, 10:30am-2:00pm at the Kellogg Hotel and Conference Center, Room Big 10 A.
They will be kicking off their student success efforts this year with over 250 colleagues who attend this event annually. Mark Largent, Designee for Interim Associate Provost for Undergraduate Education and Genyne Royal, Assistant Dean for Student Success Initiatives and Director of the Neighborhood Student Success Collaborative, will introduce our updated MSU student success vision, mission, values and goals for 2018-2019.

This event will also highlight the work that is going on across the campus to close the opportunity gaps for our lower income, first generation and/or minoritized student populations while increasing student learning, persistence and success. Student Success has had great feedback from last year’s launch about the poster session format as a strategy for sharing these efforts and giving others the opportunity to learn more about them.

They are asking you to participate in the event by creating a poster about either a new student success initiative/research project or significant change to a student success initiative/research project from last year. You would bring the poster to the launch with you and they would provide the table, easel, pins/clips etc.  You are also welcome to bring a handout to share with others. The day of the launch, poster presenters will be asked to be available at their table/easel for 30-45 minutes during which several rotations of participants will come by to learn about your efforts.

Ideally, you will be able to print the poster through your unit, but if you need us to print it for you they would need your final version no later than September 10th, 2018.

To submit your poster presentation please complete this brief survey by August 6th, 2018.

Space will be limited, so Student Success will only be accepting the first 50 poster participation confirmations and placing any additional on a waitlist.
