David MacMillan, a co-recipient (with Benjamin List) of the Nobel Prize in Chemistry in 2021, will give a public presentation of his pioneering work and its impact on society at the Kellogg Center Auditorium from 8:00 to 9:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 1423. His talk is titled "What's It Like to Win a Nobel Prize? The Path and Discovery Via Science, Catalysis and Good Luck."
MacMillan is the James S. McDonnell Distinguished University Professor of Chemistry at Princeton University and will be sharing this public lecture while visiting Michigan State University. He is also presenting a scientific seminar on Dec.December 15th in the Department of Chemistry and will be speaking at a commencement ceremony on Dec.December 16th. MacMillan has a long and distinguished career and is currently and is currently the James S. McDonnell Distinguished University Professor of Chemistry at Princeton University.
