We are excited to begin this year's "Teaching & Learning with Generative AI" series on Friday, October 25, at 4pm, with Qiyang (Minnie) Lin and Dr. Rand Spiro. They will share their work around AI-driven, case-based learning grounded in Cognitive Flexibility Theory (CFT).
This talk explores the broader applications of generative AI in education, focusing on how it can create dynamic, personalized, and multi-perspectival learning environments that foster deeper understanding and knowledge transfer. It also presents a research study examining how AI-driven, case-based learning, grounded in Cognitive Flexibility Theory (CFT), compares to traditional linear methods in helping students apply scientific knowledge to real-world problems, such as the COVID-19 pandemic. By integrating AI with CFT principles, the study aims to enhance adaptive learning and problem-solving in complex, real-world contexts.
