The Interactions curriculum introduces students to science as an endeavor, a process we engage in, rather than solely a set of discoveries by others. Through engaging in modeling and scientific explanation students explore curious aspects of the everyday world, discovering how the unseen world of atomic level interactions and energy transformations are responsible for much of what we observe around us.

Interactions was the recipient of one of the first NGSS badges, which was created to designate high-quality science curriculum that aligns to NGSS standards.*

This initial curriculum was designed for 9th grade physical science or integrated science students. A newly awarded (Institute of Educational Sciences) project (June 2023) is being built for high school science using the 9th grade product as a framework for research and development.
