CREATE is delighted to have Dr. Ingrid Sanchez help us kick off the 2023-2024 Seminar Series on Tuesday, September 19, from noon to 1:15 p.m. Dr. Sanchez was originally scheduled to visit last spring; we couldn't be more excited to have her as our first speaker this fall!
Dr. Ingrid Sanchez will discuss her work at UNICEF and her global-level efforts to strengthen gender equality programming across UNICEF's education programs, including STEM for girls, gender-responsive life skills, and digital skills. Ingrid has been a professor of STEM education in various countries, including the United States, Colombia, Panama, and Chile. Her research focused on designing learning environments that support adolescents in developing STEM-related knowledge and skills, emphasizing marginalized groups because of ethnicity, language, and gender.
More information about her presentation and visit will be coming soon.
Please join us in the seminar space. Light refreshments will be provided, but feel free to bring your lunch.
We hope to see many of you on the 19th.
