Multiple Literacies in Project-Based Learning drives student engagement by requiring students to ask questions, plan and conduct investigations, build models, use evidence, and design, develop and share artifacts with classmates, family members, and members of their community. Aligned with the Next Generation Science Standards, ML-PBL helps young learners make sense of the world.

The award-winning ML-PBL is one of the most highly researched curricula in the country with proven results in student engagement and test scores.

The positive effects hold for students of differing reading abilities, gender, and school-level, race, ethnicity and socioeconomic status, and across the major geographic regions of the state. Results suggest that the integration of project-based features and three-dimensional learning, along with high-quality profressional learning and assessments together promote academic and social/emotional learning in science.
