Advanced Computational Research Experience (ACRES) offers diverse research experience

The Advanced Computational Research Experience (ACRES) is a 10-week summer research program for undergraduates (REU) focused on computational and data science. ACRES offers research projects centered on developing and improving algorithms, models, and software for various research areas that rely on high-performance computing.

A standout aspect of ACRES is its multidisciplinary approach, bringing together researchers from across MSU and undergraduates from around the country, all united by a common goal of using computing to solve complex problems.

Accepted students selected from a large pool of applicants receive a $7000 stipend, on-campus housing, and meals; an additional $600 is available for travel to the REU site and to related conferences.

This highly competitive program is sponsored by the National Science Foundation and hosted at various universities.
