CREATE for STEM congratulates former student aide Gavin Stockton and a mathematics education colleague in the MSU College of Education, Higinio Dominguez, Ph.D., on their Fulbright Scholarships for ''23/'24.

The Fulbright U.S. Program broadens horizons through academic and professional growth and cross-cultural communication.  Fulbright helps make connections around the world, in over 140 countries.  While on a Fulbright journey, recipients meet, work, live and learn with local communities, allowing cultural exchanges to happen by promoting understanding through interactions in classrooms, fields, and homes.

Gavin Stockton received the English Teaching Assistant (ETA) scholarship; for the 2023-24 academic year, Stockton will teach English in Mexico and carry out a comprehensive community service project.

Associate Professor Higinio Dominguez will relocate for nine months to Oaxaca, Mexico, where he will work and collaborate with elementary teachers and their students utilizing his  “Animating mathematical concepts with movement, philosophy and art' research project.

We are so proud to have a former CREATE for STEM student aide and a College of Education colleague among this year's Fulbright winners.

Please help in congratulating Gavin and Higinio.
