Kellogg Biological Station holds third annual 'BioBlitz'

A two-day 'blitz' brought together participants to record and observe as many plant and animals species as they could find, using the entire Kellogg Biological Station grounds as their data collection area. Volunteers, led by graduate students or faculty from KBS, gathered data on insects, plants, birds and more. There was also time for volunteers to explore the Sanctuary at their own pace.

Stephanie Bristow,, a Ph.D. students in the Shah Lab at KBS, shared that this year's BioBlitz resulted in ab amazing 1,690 observations and 473 confirmed species!
