Several Department of Chemistry faculty members were named to this year’s World’s Top 2% Scientists list, a prestigious ranking compiled by researchers at Stanford University in collaboration with Elsevier.
Based on non–self-cited citation metrics across 22 scientific fields and 174 subfields, the list recognizes researchers whose published work has demonstrated exceptional influence, measured by both career-long achievements and single-year impact within their respective scientific communities.
We are delighted to share that Dr. Melanie Cooper, a CREATE affiliated faculty member, along with Dr. Thomas Hamann, Dr. James McCusker and Dr. Greg Swain, were recognized for both their single-year contributions as well as in the career-long rankings. Dr. McCusker was also awarded the prestigious Royal Society of Chemistry's Mond-Nyholm Prize for Inorganic Chemistry earlier in 2025.
