Please save the dates! We would love to have you join us in person in the CREATE seminar space (115 Erickson) but are offering a Zoom option as well, with registration required.

October 30 at noon; Our colleague, Dr. Higinio Dominuez will share theoretical examples from his teaching-research projects in the U.S., Mexico, and Chile while on a Fulbright US Scholarship, that exemplify how he has invited into his mathematics education research, not so much to confirm knowledge ac(re)quired, but to touch, hear, smell, taste, and see - that is, sense - the mathematical concepts we ask students to make sense of.

November 13 at noon: Please help us welcome Dr. Lei Liu, K-12 Research Director at ETS and adjunct professor at the University of Pennsylvania. She will be presenting her work on two studies, both showing how AI can revolutionize the scoring and interpretation of student data from science assessments. Together, the studies highlight AI's potential to enhance the scalability and insightfulness of science assessments.
