Research Associate
Ryan Bowen is a postdoctoral research scholar in the CREATE for STEM Institute. He holds a B.S. in Biochemistry (Lipscomb University), an M.S. in Chemistry (Vanderbilt University), an M.Ed. in Educational Studies and Secondary Education (Vanderbilt University), and a Ph.D. in Chemistry Education (Michigan State University). Influenced by educational theory, philosophy, and history, he is a qualitative researcher focused on designing curricula that promote students’ knowledge construction, sensemaking, agency, and engagement in meaningful scientific practice across K-16 learning environments.
