Mark Urban-Lurain, Ph.D.
I am now retired but am doing project consultations related to Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) education.
My research interests are in theories of cognition, how these theories inform the design of instruction, how we might best design instructional technology within those frameworks, and how the research and development of instructional technologies can inform our theories of cognition.
Ozlem Akcil Okan, Ph.D.
Ozlem is a learner, researcher, and educator who is in constant pursuit of innovative ways to address issues in education with an ultimate goal of fostering inclusive, equitable, and relevant sense making for all students in multicultural settings. Currently, she is a Research Associate at Michigan State University, working on the project Culturally Responsive Science Learning: An Evidence-Based Approach in the Rural South. Ozlem has extensive experience in K-12 science teaching, teacher professional development, and curriculum and assessment design.
Ava Gjokaj
Ava is a student research assistant working on the Auto Feedback Effects project with Dr. Kevin Haudek.

Angie Valbuena Rojas
Angie is a doctoral student in the Curriculum, Instruction and Teacher Education program at the MSU College of Education. She is currently working with faculty in CREATE for STEM to develop a chemistry curriculum.
Melissa Guerra
Melissa is currently a senior at Michigan State University, majoring in Mathematics, with a minor in Actuarial Science. In her free time, she loves to read, go for walks, take swing dancing lessons, and play with her guinea pig, Bob.
