We are pleased to announce the 2023 Annual Conference of the International Society for the Design and Development of Education (ISDDE). This conference will be held October 16-19 at Boston University in Boston, Massachusetts. It is an opportunity for educational designers of science, mathematics, engineering, and technology to share their work and learn from each other. This conference attracts designers from pre-K to post-secondary education from different countries from around the world.
The Program in Mathematics Education sponsors a Mathematics Education Colloquium Series during the academic year. This series consists of talks about research in mathematics education by MSU faculty members and scholars from other institutions in the United States and abroad.

Dr. Chris Kaiser and Dr. Lara Dixon will share their thoughts on 'Preparing Educators to Teach and Lead K-12 Schools in the Time of Generative AI".
David MacMillan, a co-recipient (with Benjamin List) of the Nobel Prize in Chemistry in 2021, will give a public presentation of his pioneering work and its impact on society at the Kellogg Center Auditorium from 8:00 to 9:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 14, 2023. His talk is titled "What's It Like to Win a Nobel Prize? The Path and Discovery Via Science, Catalysis and Good Luck."
